About the event
Are you looking for ways to keep your low back, hips, and knees healthy? Do you need to manage pain in your low back, hips, and knees? A targeted and individualized yoga practice can be helpful for optimal strength, functioning, and managing pain.
In this 3-hour workshop, we will discuss and explore yoga postures to consider for low back, hips, and knees and which ones to be cautious with or avoid based on what you have going on. You will leave with 3 short practices that are easy to do at home with modifications for you. For low back health, we will practice essential ideas about breathing to help strengthen deep inner core muscles.
This workshop will be open to beginners as well as experienced yoga students who want to learn more about specific approaches for managing low back, hips, and knees.
Fee: $45 after May 30, 2023, $35 if registered by May 30, 2023
Facilitator: Mary Hilliker, RDN, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Certified Viniyoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. She teaches therapeutic yoga groups and workshops and sees individuals for personalized Yoga Therapy for a range of conditions and interests. She also mentors Yoga Therapists and trains yoga teachers.
