Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga movements are combined with meditation, breathwork, stretches, and strengthening. From the beginner seeking to learn breathing techniques along with basic postures, those with physical limitations who need simple stretches, and the advanced yogi looking to take it down a notch. Postures are done standing, seated on the mat, and lying on the mat, sometimes using straps and blocks for support. Chairs are available and modifications are offered if requested. Movement is slow and gentle. You will leave feeling calm, centered, and refreshed!

All levels are welcome for this 60 minute class.
Investment is $15/single class or $100/10-class package (valid for 6 months).
Drop-in, no need to register.

Restorative Yoga Integrated Classes & Events
Restorative Yoga is a slow and peaceful practice, allowing your body to melt, deeply relax, and restore. Most poses are practiced reclined on the floor using props for support. Each pose is held comfortably for several minutes. Benefits of this class may include: deep relaxation, rejuvenation, stress reduction, calming the nervous system, improvement in sleep quality, supporting well-being, and more.

All levels are welcome.
See specific class/event for pricing details.
Please pre-register, as space is limited for Restorative Yoga classes.

Slow Flow
This class is offered in the style of slow flow vinyasa yoga. We begin with meditation and intention setting, then incorporate yoga breathing. The breath will then allow us to flow in and out of poses, connecting breath with movement in a flowy and creative sequence. Once the body is warm, we will practice a few holding postures to allow for a deeper stretch while still incorporating meditation and breath work. As always, class ends with a few minutes of stillness in savasana, allowing the body to take what it needs and settle after practice.

Some experience may be helpful, but all levels are welcome for this 60 minute class.
Investment is $15/single class, $100/10-class package, or special session rate.
This class is typically offered as a series or session, so stay tuned for upcoming sessions.

In case of inclement weather, Roots Yoga and Healing follows local school closings.

If a class needs to be canceled for any reason, it will be posted here on the website. If a ticketed special event needs to be canceled, you will be notified immediately through phone call, and/or text, and email (if provided) and refunded if appropriate.

The studio opens 20 minutes before all classes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class start time. This allows you to prepare for class, have a relaxed and unhurried experience, and limit interruptions for other participants.

Studio doors are locked from the outside at the beginning of each class. No admittance for participants arriving late. This allows for a safe and uninterrupted experience.

Please place phones and smart devices on silent, do not disturb, or completely off. Yoga is a time to unplug and be considerate of the space and all who are participating.

No street shoes on the studio floor, please. Indoor yoga is practiced with bare feet or non-slip socks. Don't worry, no one will judge your feet! There is plenty of space to leave your shoes and belongings.

Yoga classes are intended to be accessible to everyone, so if you have special concerns or need extra props such as a chair, please let the instructor know.

Children under the age of 18 must have a parental consent signed prior to class.

We look forward to practicing with you!
