About the event

Are you looking for ways to manage tension and pain in your jaw, neck, upper back, and shoulders? Are you dealing with stress and tension-related headaches? A targeted and individualized yoga practice can be helpful for releasing tension, managing pain, and developing functional movement patterns.

In this 3-hour workshop, we will discuss and explore yoga postures to consider for jaw tension, neck, upper back, and shoulders. We will explore 2 practices that are easy to do at home that include postures, adaptations of postures, and breathing. Home practice handouts are included with this workshop.

This workshop will be open to beginners as well as experienced yoga students who want to learn more about specific approaches for managing jaw, neck, shoulder and upper back tension and pain.

Fee: $45 after September 5, 2023, $35 if registered by September 5, 2023

Facilitator: Mary Hilliker, RDN, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Certified Viniyoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. She teaches therapeutic yoga groups and workshops and sees individuals for personalized Yoga Therapy for a range of conditions and interests. She also mentors Yoga Therapists and trains yoga teachers.

    Yoga for upper body workshop Sept 7th from 1:30-4:30pm. We will discuss and explore yoga postures to consider for jaw tension, neck, shoulders, and upper back. You will leave with short practices that are easy to do at home with modifications for you. Home practice handouts included. With Mary Hilliker, RDN, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT. Wear comfortable clothing. Mats & props provided.
