Hello, October! This month marks the start of that magical time of year when the leaves change to beautiful colors, we embrace a little change of our own, our coziest sweaters come out of hiding, and suddenly…pumpkin, cinnamon, and caramel belong in absolutely everything.

There’s just something about fall that invites us to slow down and soak in the little things, and while we may not realize it yet, those delicious fall-inspired beverages are just like stepping onto a yoga mat. Whether it’s taking a deep, full breath and finding your balance or wrapping both hands around a warm mug after class, this season is all about finding comfort, balance, and a little extra warmth in the most simplest ways.

In these moments, we may find ourselves deep in thought, so naturally, we may wonder: if our favorite fall drinks were yoga poses, what ones would they be? Would a spiced latte be grounding? Would Chai really have a little more fire in its flow? And what possibly could capture the sweet goodness of a Caramel Apple Cider?

Well, grab your mug and pack your mat, you’re about to find out!

Finding Your Fall Flow
This month offers the perfect opportunity to sip outside your comfort zone and stretch beyond your usual flow. We challenge you to try a pose you’ve never twisted into, treat yourself to a fall flavor you’ve never sipped, and to start checking off that autumn bucket list one latte and lunge at a time.

Join us on the mat to learn new poses, chai something different, and spice up your skills, yogi. Because this season, we’re all about sippin’, stretchin’, and savoring every ounce of fall!

You know, yoga and fall are a surprisingly perfect match, just like your next beverage and yoga pose will be. As the season shifts from the endless energy of summer into cooler, more quieter days, yoga gives you a chance to slow down, reset, and settle into a new rhythm for a while. This is the most wonderful time of year to focus on our breath, goals, and practicing self-care.

If Fall Drinks Were Yoga Poses…
Let your pose discover your next fall beverage!

  • Warrior II — Pumpkin Spice Latte
Behold the icon, the true classic; the drink that informally announces the arrival of fall. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is fittingly the Warrior II. It’s recognizable, ever-so bold, and proudly confident. Espresso, steamed milk, delicious pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove bring in heaps of warmth with each sip while Warrior II brings the strength to match it. Just like this drink makes its way around every year, the Warrior II should make your routine much more; it combines strength, stability, focus and openness and helps to strengthen the shoulders, legs, glutes, ankles, and core.

  • Tree Pose — Caramel Apple Cider
Both of these are appropriately grounded in fall and connected to nature, making it all about finding balance. With the busy schedules we all seem to have, we need that balance. Plus, Hot Apple Cider is met with the most tempting hints of cinnamon and a decadent drizzle of caramel making it taste like an apple orchard in a cup. Disclaimer: we can’t promise the Tree Pose won’t encourage you to go apple picking, but this drink and pose? Sweet, grounded, outdoorsy, and autumnal.

  • Child’s Pose — Maple Cinnamon Latte
A Maple Cinnamon Latte is warm and surprising! Quite literally the Child’s Pose transformed into beverage form! Made with espresso, steamed milk, real maple and a dash of cinnamon, this drink is as sweet as it is playful. Much like how Child’s Pose invites you to soften, relax, and reconnect with your breath, enjoying this latte is like taking a toasty little timeout. It’s grounding without being boring, soothing without putting you to sleep, and sweet enough to feel like an exciting treat.

  • Chair Pose — Spiced Chai Latte
Sipping on a Spiced Chai Latte is where things really start to heat up! A Spiced Chai Latte combines cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves for a drink that brings some serious heat - just like the Chair Pose. Matching that energy, the chair pose is spicy and deceptively intense. Just when you think it will be easy, your core kicks in and stirs up a challenge for your muscles and mind. Add hot yoga to the equation and you become the human version of a steaming chai latte!

  • Happy Baby — Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
Happy Baby is all about letting go, loosening up, and embracing a little playfulness. As you’re lying on your back, grabbing your feet, maybe rocking from side to side, you’re quite literally channeling all that carefree energy just like a happy baby! A Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate brings that same kind of joy. Happy Baby encourages you to let go of tension and to help—chocolate, whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a pinch of sea salt come to the rescue! Need we say anymore? Yum!

  • Half Moon — Brown Sugar Cinnamon Oat Milk Latte
Sweet brown sugar, warm cinnamon, bold espresso, and creamy oat milk come together for a drink that feels just a little more sophisticated, just like the Half Moon pose! The Half Moon is all about finding that sweet spot between strength, balance, and grace—and this latte does the same. With the Half Moon pose, you’re balancing on one leg while extending in several directions which challenges coordination and concentration, just as the flavor profiles of this lusciously satisfying drink.

  • Downward Dog — Cinnamon Vanilla Cold Brew with Pumpkin Cold Foam
For the person who knows it’s getting chilly outside but is still ordering iced coffee anyway, we see you! A Cinnamon Vanilla Cold Brew topped with Pumpkin Cold Foam is the Downward Dog of fall drinks. Just as the Downward Dog works its way into practically every yoga flow, cold brew has earned a permanent spot in many coffee rotations. The cinnamon and pumpkin brings seasonal momentum while the cold brew itself keeps things cool, familiar, and refreshing. It’s the perfect balance of embracing autumn without completely surrendering to only sipping on hot beverages.
